Andromedik Reaches New Heights on Debut Album, “Ascension”

Andromedik has released his debut album Ascension, a vocal-driven drum & bass record featuring massive collaborations with Netsky, Kanine and more.

The 13-track album arrives after two years in the studio and builds on the emotional core that’s defined the drum & bass star’s signature sound from the start. It’s a structured journey centered on vocal clarity and visceral production, shaped by his aim to prove that drum & bass music can carry real weight beyond surface-level bangers.

“This album shows who I truly am as an artist, from emotional moments to pure club energy,” Andromedik said. “I wanted to prove that drum & bass can have real songs—with hooks, melodies and feeling—and still go hard.”

Ascension opens with “Nothing Like You,” where heart-tugging piano notes set the tone before a sweeping vocal rises up through the mix like fireworks: “I’ve been all around the world / and I’ve never seen nothing like you.” The drop glides upward, swept by a wave of bright synths, full-bodied guitar work and tight percussion that delivers both lift and punch. It’s the kind of track built for when the crowd is feeling themselves, eyes closed, heads nodding without needing anything more.

“Sunlight” with Basstripper and A Little Sound stands out as one of the album’s most dynamic cuts. Elsewhere, “Take Me Away,” the album’s penultimate track, shifts the pace completely. It’s one of the lightest moments on Ascension, built around airy vocals and a gentle, floating rhythm with clear house influences.

That momentum carries forward across the record, threaded through each shift in pace and tone. “Only One” reunites Andromedik with Lauren L’aimant following their earlier single “Air,” and once again, their styles lock in effortlessly. “Out of Body” blends his vocal-driven energy with the melodic finesse of one of his biggest musical inspirations, Netsky, who brings his magic drum & bass touch.

Andromedik introduced the project live on November 1st at a sold-out 4,500-cap show in Antwerp, where he debuted the Ascension audiovisual experience alongside Camo & Krooked, Metrik, Lens, Emily Makis and more. The visual production, anchored by 360 square meters of LED screens, was developed to extend the album’s universe into a full-scale stage format, reinforcing the sense that it was always meant to be experienced as a whole.
