The producers behind the 2025 Winter Music Conference and the Electronic Dance Music Awards are launching SHIFT, a four-day event series focused on connecting EDM artists directly with industry professionals.
Debuting March 24-27, 2026, SHIFT is poised to launch as Miami Music Week’s latest attempt to solve the networking problem: too many business cards exchanged, too few opportunities created. The new series ditches the traditional conference model to provide “curated encounters” for artists and professionals, according to organizers.
The pitch is straightforward and timely: get emerging talent in the same room as the people who can actually advance their careers. Record label reps, booking agents and managers will participate in sessions designed for face-to-face interaction with the goal of “high-value networking,” per SHIFT. That means meetings and demo drops with high-profile electronic music A&Rs listening in real time instead of the umpteenth panel discussion about the future of streaming.
“Music Week in Miami has always been about connection, but the industry has been missing a place where those connections can actually take root,” SHIFT’s organizers said in a press release. “You asked for it, and we listened. SHIFT is built for that purpose. This is about creating access, not lectures—a place where the right people can meet, connect and open doors.”
The event coincides with the EDMAs moving to The Clevelander South Beach for 2026. The ceremony, which has emerged as the electronic dance music industry’s preeminent award show, is shifting from its previous venue to the Ocean Drive landmark. Access to next year’s EDMAs comes through winning an award, receiving an invitation or purchasing a limited early-bird SHIFT ticket.
SHIFT’s inaugural programming runs Tuesday, March 24th through Friday, March 27th at The Clevelander and other partnering South Beach locations. Tickets can be purchased here.
