Daed is a Colorado-based producer and Co-Founder of Defunkt Records. Originally hailing from the depths of Houston, Texas, Daed hashelped shape the breakcore, jungle, braindance and experimental IDM scene. His sound fuses cerebral sound design, hyperedited breaks, and rich atmospheres with emotive melodies, glitch, and flashes of metal and neuro DnB. His work draws frequent comparisons to Autechre, Venetian Snares, Squarepusher, and Aphex Twin.
Daed has releases on Analogical Force, Mozyk, kaometry, Illphabetik, 141414, and his own imprint Defunkt Records. Daed continues to push sonic boundaries. Whether through custom software or collaborations with Glitchmachines and Inear Display VSTs, he crafts otherworldly audio landscapes that are equal parts cerebral and raw. No two Daed live sets are ever the same - and he prefers it that way.
