Tomorrowland Symphony of Unity’s First-Ever Release Reimagines Generational Dance Anthem, “Reload”
Tomorrowland‘s Symphony of Unity is finally taking its show from the stage to streaming platforms. The orchestral collective, which has been turning EDM bangers into cinematic experiences at Tomorrowland since 2015, today released its debut recording, a symphonic version of Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash’s generational dance anthem “Reload.” The timing makes sense. After performing at Tomorrowland’s flagship festival in Belgium, selling out two Brussels shows and appearing at the Las Vegas Sphere for the scintillating UNITY series, Symphony of Unity has proven there’s serious demand for electronic music reimagined with strings and brass. Now that proof of concept gets a proper studio release through the festival’s in-house record label, Tomorrowland Music. Thanks to its euphoric production and John Martin’s stentorian vocals, “Reload” immediately became a festival staple after its release back in September 2012, and the Symphony of Unity treatment maintains the track’s anthemic quality while layering in cinematic orchestral arrangements. The release marks the group’s transition from a live-only concept to a recording act, which opens up possibilities beyond festival slots. It’s a natural next step for a collaboration that’s been building momentum since 2015. “We’ve always believed that music has no boundaries,” the ensemble said in a statement. “This rework is our tribute to a timeless classic, transformed into a powerful symphonic experience.” Follow Tomorrowland: X: x.com/tomorrowland TikTok: tiktok.com/@tomorrowland Instagram: instagram.com/tomorrowland Facebook: facebook.com/tomorrowland The post Tomorrowland Symphony of Unity’s First-Ever Release Reimagines Generational Dance Anthem, “Reload” appeared first on EDM. Skrillex Returns to His Brostep Roots With ISOxo on Stunning New Track, “Fuze”
After years exploring house and pop music, Skrillex has teamed up with ISOxo to produce the kind of speaker-destroying brostep that built his empire. The king of brostep has returned, and he’s brought along a protégé to help burn down dancefloors everywhere. Skrillex and ISOxo today dropped a new single, “Fuze,” a stunning release from one of electronic music’s most influential minds and one of its most promising producers. After years exploring pop and house music, it’s a long-awaited return to form for the dubstep icon. Out now via Skrillex’s storied OWSLA label, the track begins with a dreamlike piano ballad, awash in a haze of atmospheric pads you’d expect from a Bon Iver interlude. However, it quickly reveals itself as a Trojan horse as the serenity shatters, the tension builds and we’re suddenly thrown headfirst into a drop so filthy it could strip paint off walls. Skrillex revisits his brostep roots, going right for the jugular with a vintage, growling drop. ISOxo, a member of the EDM.com Class of 2022, injects his ferocious sound through snarling synths that contort with his signature aggression. The duo recently performed together at ISOxo’s inaugural Niteharts Festival, which he launched October 11-12 in his hometown of San Diego alongside his longtime creative partner, Knock2. Their scintillating performance, which had been one of the year’s most hotly anticipated b2b sets, began with “Fuze.” The track is also notable due to its release on OWSLA, the record label and creative collective Skrillex co-founded back in 2011. It quickly became one of the electronic scene’s most influential independent labels, known for developing contrarian producers and defining early-2010s bass culture. In recent years, however, it has significantly scaled back operations and ceased social media activity. While Skrillex’s last three albums (FUS and 2023’s Quest for Fire and Don’t Get Too Close) released on OWSLA by virtue of his former record deal with Atlantic, the label has remained largely dormant, rarely releasing new music. Skrillex has hinted at a potential “new phase” for the imprint, but no formal announcement about its long-term future has been made. Whether or not today’s release of “Fuze” signals a revival remains to be seen. Martin Garrix Finds the Future In the Past With Massive EP, “ORIGO”
Martin Garrix has released a new EP, ORIGO, a collection of dance anthems produced for a generation that never stopped chasing the drop. The Dutch EDM superstar made his name on producing music for people with quiet desperation wrapped in sparks of hope, proving that moments of stillness and reflection can coexist with overwhelming kinetic energy. ORIGO is a full-circle moment, a return to the gleaming emotional scale of the festival scene he helped shape back in the early-2010s, when we found out that the simple act of putting your hands in the air made all the problems hanging in it melt away. The music of ORIGO showcases Garrix’s evolution from teenage prodigy to totemic EDM artist. Look no further than “Our Time,” a massive collaboration with Afrojack, David Guetta and Amél that beautifully resurrects the euphoric maximalism of his early production. The past floods back in widescreen technicolor as the group crafts an anthem where the cynicism of adulthood gives way to that elusive teenage wonder. Armin van Buuren contributes his trance DNA to “Sleepless Nights,” a serotonin-fueled escape hatch of propulsive, heady beats. Elsewhere, the long-awaited Alesso collaboration “Inside Our Hearts” finally materializes as the dopamine hit fans have been craving since both artists were teenagers. Here, cascading synths wash over a dramatic drop as Shaun Farrugia’s soul-stirring vocals explore the ache of love across distance and time. To that end, the conceptual through-line centers on connection and resilience. Whether it’s the reassuring promise of the sublime “Ain’t Letting You Down” (with Saksham and Scott Quinn) or the escapist yearning of the cinematic “Peace of Mind” (with Citadelle), Garrix keeps returning to themes of shared experience. Even the electro banger “Voodoo” (with R3HAB and Skytech), the EP’s darkest moment, frames obsession as a kind of binding force. But ORIGO isn’t pure nostalgia tourism. Garrix ventures into drum & bass for the first time on “Set Me Free,” a collaboration with Bonn and Dutch breakout Arcando where he trades his usual festival-ready sheen for frenetic breakbeats. The track is a curveball that actually lands, suggesting the producer has no plans to rest on his laurels as he approaches the big 3-0. Reuniting with Matisse & Sadko, Garrix then closes the project the only way he could: with a vintage progressive house track. In “Butterflies,” the longtime collaborators bring the EP home by cocooning BARBZ’s vulnerable vocals in soaring synthscapes. You can listen to ORIGO below and find the new EP on streaming platforms here. deadmau5 Retires “Cube” Production, Announces First Album in 10 Years
It’s out with with Cube and in with the new for deadmau5, who is officially retiring his influential stage production ahead of a brand-new album and reimagined live show. The subversive Cube, which debuted back in 2010, evolved from a relatively modest structure into a 260-ton behemoth by its final v3 iteration, featuring 360° rotation, dynamic tilting and over 600 customizable LED panels that created stunning visuals synchronized to his music. Prevalently considered a breakthrough for electronic music stagecraft, the ambitious production required a team of technicians, custom-built software and millions to develop and transport. We’re now able to confirm that the Cube will not return, per a press release shared with EDM.com by deadmau5’s team. However, the renowned producer and music tech developer is now poised to debut an entirely new live production November 7-8 at Colorado’s storied Red Rocks Amphitheatre, where he’ll perform a five-hour set for his annual “day of the deadmau5” celebrations. The performance will showcase his techno alias TESTPILOT as well as unreleased material from the new album and a rare mau5 drum & bass set to close. deadmau5 today also released a new single, “Ameonna,” which will ultimately appear on the album. Like the Japanese yōkai for which it’s named, the instrumental track is both atmospheric and beautifully unsettling, pulsing with the vintage electro energy that’ll please longtime fans who’ve followed him since his “Strobe” era. Its title translates to “rain woman,” a folkloric spirit believed to bring storms, and its production mirrors the mythology perfectly with those vintage deadmau5 synths and chord progressions swirling like dark clouds. As of this writing, deadmau5 has not revealed the title or release date of his upcoming album, although it is confirmed for 2026. The long-awaited album is his first since 2016’s W:/2016ALBUM/. Major Lazer Channels Jamaican Sun Through New Dancehall Track, “BRUK DOWN”
Major Lazer is back with “BRUK DOWN,” the group’s first single featuring America Foster as an official member. The new dancehall track, which also features Sadboi and choreographer Parris Goebel, marks a milestone for the British-Jamaican artist, who was working as a security guard when she sent her freestyles to Diplo via Instagram last year. After connecting at the DJ’s London show, she traveled to Jamaica for studio sessions and recorded the foundation of “BRUK DOWN” before ultimately joining Major Lazer as a permanent member. “The vibe that I got from the beat was almost sensual but rude at the same time—it had this badgyal energy that I really liked,” Foster said. “The freestyle was cool, but it wasn’t a track until Diplo sent it to SadBoi for her verse and Parris for her bridge. That’s when it all came together.” The vocal role represents a new direction for Goebel, who is known primarily for her choreography work. She recently signed to Mad Decent and co-directed the track’s official video with Philippa Price, the multi-disciplinary creative behind Rihanna’s Super Bowl LVII halftime show and the tours of Pharell Williams and St. Vincent, among others. “I’ve been dancing and creating to Major Lazer tracks for years now so this collaboration is full circle for me,” said Goebel. “There’s always something so infectious and fun about their sound that makes you want to dance—so to now be on a song with them is so exciting and feels right.” Today’s release is accompanied by an official music video, which was shot at Diplo’s family farm. In other Major Lazer news, the “Lean On” band was recently announced as part of the Coachella 2026 lineup. They’re also poised for a headlining performance at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival, with more tour dates forthcoming. Personal Archive of Late Kraftwerk Legend Florian Schneider Going to Auction
Nearly 500 items from the private archive of Florian Schneider, a founding member of Kraftwerk, are going up for auction next month, offering an intimate glimpse inside the personal life of one of electronic music’s most influential figures. Schneider, who passed away in 2020, helped shape the foundation of electronic music as we know it. Kraftwerk’s early adoption of synthesizers, vocoders and drum machines laid the groundwork for entire genres, from techno and synth-pop to hip-hop and electro. Set for November 19th at Nashville’s Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum, the “Florian Schneider Collection Auction” will be hosted by Julien’s Auctions, with online bidding available now. Organized in collaboration with Schneider’s estate, the auction features instruments, studio gear, stage wardrobe and historic ephemera from across his storied career. Credit: Photo courtesy of Julien’s Auctions Among the highlights are a rare Sennheiser VSM-201 vocoder used during the Man-Machine and Computer World sessions, an EMS Synthi AKS suitcase synthesizer from the Autobahn era and Schneider’s Robovox system, a speech synthesizer he co-developed. Also included are personal items like his passport, 1964 Volkswagen van, the bike he rode in the “Tour de France” video, and a “Ruhe” light-up sign from Kraftwerk’s Kling Klang studio. Credit: Photo courtesy of Julien’s Auctions These items are estimated to be worth between $500 and $40,000 each, with the total collection being worth an estimated $450,000 to $650,000. “This auction fulfills Florian’s will for his instruments and personal collection to continue living beyond him,” said a spokesperson of Schneider’s estate. “He wanted his equipment to find their way to people who would truly value them: musicians, collectors and those inspired by the art of sound.” Fans and collectors can explore the full catalog and place bids ahead of the live event here. Fans Can Try Out Tame Impala’s Sold-Out Synthesizer at Rare ADE Pop-Up
Telepathic Instruments, the music tech startup co-founded by Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, is offering attendees of the world’s leading electronic music summit the chance to get hands-on with Orchid, the innovative synthesizer he conceived over a decade ago. Running October 22-26 during this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event, the pop-up at Filling Pieces marks a significant milestone for the instrument, which has already sold out twice since its initial limited releases. Following its global launch earlier this month, Orchid is finally crossing the Atlantic for what the company calls a “rare opportunity” for music producers and DJs to experience the hardware firsthand. Parker conceived Orchid more than 10 years ago as a personal songwriting tool, according to a press release shared with EDM.com. The synth’s intuitive interface handles complex chord progressions automatically, freeing musicians to focus on creativity rather than music theory. It packs three synth engines, pattern sequencing and effects processing into a workflow designed to capture ideas quickly, a philosophy reflected in its growing adoption. The instrument has already been used to produce tracks from Kid Cudi, Diplo, Janelle Monáe, Don Toliver, Fred again.. and Diplo, among others. Drop 3 brought community-requested features like Parker-programmed beats, quantization and a a companion plugin for DAW integration that enables two-way hardware sync. Attendees of ADE 2025 can register here to receive updates on Telepathic Instruments at ADE. The post Fans Can Try Out Tame Impala’s Sold-Out Synthesizer at Rare ADE Pop-Up appeared first on EDM. Ticketmaster Says It’s Cracking Down on Scalpers Amid FTC Lawsuit
Ticketmaster has revealed a series of new measures to curb ticket scalping amid a lawsuit from the Federal Trade Commission accusing the ticketing giant of colluding with resellers to artificially inflate prices. In a letter to U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn and Ben Ray Luján obtained by Forbes, Live Nation executive vice president Daniel M. Wall outlined steps to “increase the percentage of tickets going to real fans.” The company said it would limit brokers to one verified account using Social Security or taxpayer ID numbers, deploy AI tools to detect and cancel bot purchases and shut down its TradeDesk inventory software, which the FTC alleges functions as a tool that enables scalpers. Ticketmaster reportedly disputed the FTC’s claims, calling them “categorically false” and arguing it has invested over $1 billion in bot prevention, blocking 8.7 billion bots in April 2025 alone. The FTC’s complaint, filed with seven states, alleges the company violated the Better Online Ticket Sales Act and “triple dipped” on fees by collecting from the original sale, the reseller and the resale buyer. This isn’t the first time Ticketmaster and Live Nation have been in hot water, following a separate Justice Department lawsuit from 2024 accusing the two of operating as a monopoly. While Live Nation continues to deny any wrongdoing, the company’s proposed reforms appear to be its most concerted attempt yet to rebuild trust with live music fans frustrated by high resale prices and mounting platform fees. The DOJ’s lawsuit remains ongoing at the time of this writing. The post Ticketmaster Says It’s Cracking Down on Scalpers Amid FTC Lawsuit appeared first on EDM. View the full article

Spotify Developing Feature to Let Users Discover Music By Its Credited Writers
Spotify is testing a new feature that would allow users to discover music through every credited artist who made it, from songwriters and vocalists to producers and engineers, TechCrunch reports. Discovered within the app’s code by reverse engineer Jane Manchun Wong, “SongDNA” appears to create a visual, credit-based web of connections between musical collaborators. Screenshots shared by Wong show how users could tap into an artist’s credits to uncover other projects they’ve worked on, surfacing everything from featured vocals to obscure production work. Additional findings by fellow reverse engineer Chris Messina confirmed the feature’s existence. References in the code suggest “SongDNA” is designed to map contributor networks across the platform, making it easier to explore their broader creative reach. If launched, the feature could rival TIDAL’s interactive credits and give music professionals a new way to find collaborators. For listeners, it signals a move toward greater transparency and recognition of the teams behind their favorite tracks, offering a clearer view of how songwriters and audio engineers shape the music in your playlists. Spotify has not yet formally announced nor publicly confirmed “SongDNA” at the time of this writing. Tiësto to Headline Concert at Egypt’s Great Pyramids of Giza
Tiësto is set to perform at the Great Pyramids of Giza, the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the World, this winter, headlining a concert at the site on December 19th. Presented by P+US, the event continues a streak of high-profile electronic performances at the Egyptian landmark following Anyma’s October 10th headline and past appearances from Carl Cox and Keinemusik, among others. The event also falls within a wave of winter programming that includes a headlining performance from South African house music icon Black Coffee, who is also slated to perform there in December. Tiësto was previously set to DJ within the ancient pyramid complex in 2023 at the Cairo edition of Kygo’s Palm Tree Festival, but the offshoot was ultimately cancelled. The announcement comes in the wake of a lawsuit filed by a local rights group, the Egyptian Center for Economic and Social Rights, to halt large-scale raves and music festivals at the Great Pyramids. Filed on behalf of Egyptologist Monica Hanna and others, the complaint alleges that high-powered sound systems and laser rigs threaten the foundation of the 4,500-year-old structures, as previously reported by EDM.com. While the suit remains ongoing, Tiësto’s performance is still set to move forward, drawing attention to both the event and the wider debate over how large-scale concerts intersect with the preservation of cultural heritage sites. Tickets for Tiësto’s show at the Great Pyramids of Giza are on sale here. Take a Seat Without Missing a Beat at the Rave With Dirty Twirl
For decades, the dancefloor has been a sacred space, an arena where the music pulses through your veins, kaleidoscopic lights twist in your vision and the crowd moves as one. But as the day turns to night, keeping up for a full night of dancing can become challenging. Enter Dirty Twirl, an innovate seating product designed for ravers who don’t want to sacrifice the experience of being in the thick of the crowd. “One misconception people have about Dirty Twirl is that it is for aging ravers,” according to co-owner and operator Christine Ell. “The reality is that getting tired and wanting to take a short rest or find a seat is universally human, no matter your age. We have had customers that are 21 years old love their Dirty Twirl as much as my 84-year-old grandad does, and every age in between.” Inspired by “a passion for accessibility,” its inventive design allows users to remain comfortably seated while still participating in the flow of the crowd. Unlike traditional chairs, which isolate you from the energy around you, Dirty Twirl lets you swivel, twist and even gently bounce to the beat. You’re not on the sidelines, but part of the movement and communal experience that make raves so electric. The team behind Dirty Twirl, Ell and her partner Leif Carter, knew that practicality alone wouldn’t cut it for the discerning raver. Ergonomics and portability were crucial. “There are so many different elements that come together to create a Dirty Twirl,” Ell explains. “One of the biggest challenges we’ve had was designing a bag that is just right to hold all your festival essentials and your Dirty Twirl in one.” “We call it ‘art with utility,'” she adds. Credit: Photo courtesy of Dirty Twirl Lightweight yet durable, the handcrafted seat is easy to carry between stages and folds compactly for travel. Its design is sleek and festival-ready. And the best part? You can enjoy hours of comfort without ever feeling disconnected from the floor’s energy. Dirty Twirl is redefining what it means to rest within the EDM scene. It’s for the veteran ravers who still want to experience the euphoria of live electronic sets but may need a little help keeping up as age and gravity take their toll. It’s for those who do not want an injury to hold them back from living their best lives. It’s even for the able-bodied individuals who recognize that their body wants to rest, but they’re not quite ready for bed yet. Aging, disabled or simply just exhausted ravers no longer need to choose between comfort and connection. They can have both. “We realized this product is truly helping people on a deeper level than just being able to stay up to see your favorite sunrise set,” Ell affirms. “Which we can confirm the Dirty Twirl will definitely help you achieve.” Follow Dirty Twirl: Website: dirtytwirl.com Instagram: instagram.com/dirtytwirl Facebook: facebook.com/dirtytwirl The post Take a Seat Without Missing a Beat at the Rave With Dirty Twirl appeared first on EDM.
